😅Why does it seem like small kids aren't scared of anything? Are they designed to make our heart rates soar? They see that couch and jump off that couch. They think matter of fact I'll do it backward to really make this exciting.⁠

Encouraging safe risk-taking and trying new activities is a great way to build courage in kids. Try acknowledging their moments of pause and name them as normal and temporary on their journey to becoming triumphant over their goals.⁠

There are 3️⃣ things that can happen when kids lean into courageous moments: ⁠

1. They will learn from the experience and get even better over time. ⁠
2. They will learn more about what they'd want to try again or differently next time.⁠
3. They will crush it and it will turn out just as they wanted or better. ⁠

An abundant mindset is to believe that there is more than enough of anything to go around. Leading the way by generously being in service of others with our time, resources, and attention is one of the best ways to model this mindset. Kids will see firsthand how good it feels it is when you pay it forward and give without expecting anything in return or worrying about how you will be paid back.⁠

Our brilliant ancestor Dr. Maya Angelou beautifully shared that, "Abundance is not just about material wealth; it's a mindset of gratitude, recognizing the abundance of love, joy, and opportunities that surround us every day."⁠

Whew...That every day, hit different. ⁠

Volunteering your time at a local library, housing space, or school event with your kids can be a great way to practice abundance. Try spending some time writing letters, or picking out a special gift for someone they know and delivering it to them. ⁠

The major 🔑 is talking with our kids about how we can be generous with our time and resources.. and that is having a mindset of abundance. ⁠

We all know there is so much that goes into being a confident person. It is quite the journey getting to that point and maintaining it...Am I right? When we model being vulnerable with kids and sharing with them the real about how we call on our confidence when we need it, it opens up the door for kids to share as well. ⁠

Here are 3 major keys to instilling confidence in your child:⁠
🔑 Recognize and appreciate their strengths during a challenge to help balance them out⁠
🔑 Get up and strike a power pose. If you were a superhero what would be the pose you make when you are feeling your best. Fist to hips and chest to the sky? Encourage your child to hit their power pose anytime they need a quick confidence boost.⁠
🔑 Give specific praise and feedback that highlights what you would love for them to do more ⁠
⁠
🌟Here's an example: "Great job," can stretch "That was incredible how you helped your friend that needed help, you are a very thoughtful person. I am proud of how you show up for people you care about!" ⁠
